Background

The Zambia Computer Incident Response Team (ZmCIRT) has been established to serve as a central point for collaboration between industry, government and civil society on all Cybersecurity related incidents in Zambia ZmCIRT provides a reliable and trusted point of contact for any users, companies and organizations based in Zambia, for the handling of attacks and incidents. Its team of experts acts like a fire brigade, with the ability to react promptly and efficiently whenever threats are suspected, detected or incidents occur.

  National point of contact for reporting computer security incidents. Provide technical analysis of computer security incidents.

• Cyber Threat Research Centre

  Conduct operational research and development work in the area of malware and emerging threats. Issue relevant alerts and advisories on emerging threats to our constituency.

• Technical Coordination

  Co-ordination of computer security incident responses with trusted parties at the national and international arena.
